I asked everybody to get to the club early for a 2pm start, but unfortunately Thame had the match listed for a 2.30pm start, so it was a rather frustrating delay until the visitors were all assembled.
Eventually we started with a Spider for the President’s chosen charity and £26 was collected to add to the £24 taken on the club game on Thursday.
The weather was warm and when the match got underway Winslow proved too strong for our visitors and won on 4 out of 5 rinks for our first win of the season.
The final score was  110 to Winslow and 60 to Thame with a remarkable winning rink of John Thorogood, Roger Hayman, and Cliff Geary coming out on top by 39 shots to 5.
