When I emailed the secretary of Waddesdon on Friday to confirm our match on Sunday he emailed back to say that their green was currently flooded but with 2 days of better weather forecast they were hopeful of play being possible.
Luckily the weather was kind and we managed a full 18 ends on Sunday afternoon.

We managed to win on 2 rinks whist losing on the other 2, unfortunately our total margin on the 2 winning rinks was 4 whilst on the 2 losing rinks it was minus 28 so an overall defeat by 46 shots to 70.

The triple of Rosie Griffiths, Roger Shelton and John Jeacock came from 5 to 10 down to win by one shot with a one on the last end but our highest winning rink was Stan Hubert, Victor Griffiths and Cliff Geary who scored a 3 on the last end to win by 3 shots.
A special mention for Pete Joyner who was representing the club for the first time.

Also worth mentioning the splendid new clubhouse at Waddesdon donated by the late Lord Rothschild.
