On Sunday the 23rd of June our Captain Tony Lawrence welcomed Chandos Captain Norman Jerrom's team of 5 triples. We were pleased to have a warm and sunny afternoon for the match and our green was well prepared and in excellent condition.
Chandos had brought a strong team, including some former Winslow players and members of Slade indoor bowls club, so the atmosphere was friendly and competitive.
Chandos won on three of the five rinks, Winslow won on two, resulting in a 90 to 71 victory for Chandos. It was a very enjoyable afternoon of bowls.
