32 members and guests enjoyed a great evening’s entertainment on Friday 28th June. They were treated to a sumptuous BBQ with burgers, sausages and a varied range of fresh salads, followed up by a delicious home-made range of desserts and cakes contributed by members.
John Jeacock ran the bar and Robin Galvin did most of the cooking with the food sourced by Pete Joyner and prepared by Cliff Geary and Roger Shelton.
The BBQ was followed by another one of Pete’s unfathomable quizzes and a very successful raffle.
Then the highlight of the evening was the first draw of the club’s new 100 Club. First of the £25 first prize winners was Monica Gilbey with winning number 11. Zena Geary took the £10 second prize with number 35 and Jill Mead won the £5 third prize with number 1.
We now have 89 of the 100 numbers allocated so still 11 available at a reduced price of £11.
