The game was listed as 4 triples and as we had more than 12 players who wanted to play our captain asked Bletchley if they could field 5 triples. After further discussion the team Captains agreed to play 4 triples and 1 pair.
As the match proceeded Winslow took an early lead in two of the triples and Bletchley played strongly in the pairs match to set up a strong lead. In the closing stages with both Winslow and Bletchley teams playing to hold their lead or recover a shot deficit, fortunes changed on several rinks. It was an exciting match.
Winslow secured 2 wins in the triples, Bletchley also won 2 triples and the pairs match, and the final points totals were Winslow 66, Bletchley 88. Both team captains expressed thanks to all players for their contribution to a very enjoyable, hard fought and exciting game.
Our thanks to Colin Bishopp, our captain for the day, and to John Jeacock who ran the bar and the raffle.
