Thank you to everybody who has responded and played in the Aussie Rules game on Saturday 5th October. We had a fantastic response and 29 members signed up for the game. As a maximum of 24 can play some members kindly agreed to either stand down or share participation with another member. Play commenced at 2.00pm with a break halfway through for refreshments.
After an enjoyable match we were treated to an excellent meal, a choice of three different curries prepared by Valerie Gomersall and Jane Stainforth, served with rice cooked and donated by Chutney Jacks restaurant in Winslow, or fish and chips. Scores were counted and our winner was John Gomersall who received an Aussie Rules trophy. A fun match and a good meal, followed by a quiz, completed another successful day for the club.
