The Bletchley and District Bowls League has been in existence since at least 1948 when the above trophy was awarded to Bletchley St Martins BC as the winners for that year.
It became known as the Grouse League for a number of years when it was sponsored by Famous Grouse Whisky In 1994 the sponsorship was assumed by Roy Mason Funeral Directors who continued to award bottles of Grouse whisky to the winners, runners up and each club that entered.
The B&D mens league has two divisions, A and B, each of which currently has 5 club teams.
- Matches are 5 triples played over 18 ends.
- Points are awarded as follows:
- 2 points for each winning triple
- 8 points for the team with the heghest match score
The B&D mixed league has two divisions, A and B, currently with 7 and 6 club teams respectively.
- Matches are 4 triples played over 18 ends.
- Points are awarded as follows:
- 2 points for each winning triple
- 6 points for the team with the heghest msatch score
The WInslow Bowls Club plays in the Mixed league, division B with teams from Newport Pagnell, BletchleyTown, Bradwell, Olney and Stony Stratford.
