We had a day of mixed fortunes, especially with the weather. It was nice and sunny when we started, but soon turned to occasional drizzle, but we carried on till half time at ten ends. We continued after tea until we had a absolute downpour and everybody ran for cover.

At this point the Bradwell captain and I had a discussion on safety to play and it was decided to call the game off.

The one problem we had was that some rinks had completed 10 ends some 11 and some 12 so we drew a line under 10 ends and counted the score, the final result, surprising because we were loosing heavily on two rinks, was 30 shots to Winslow and 31 to Bradwell.

So we go to Bradwell for the next match one shot down.
