We play Bradwell Bowls Club each year for the Jim Lewis Trophy. It is played over 2 legs with one match at Bradwell and the other at home and the trophy goes to the team with the most shots scored over the 2 legs:
The first leg of this year's match took place yesterday at Bradwell and I am delighted to say that we came away with the narrowest of wins by 88 shots to 87. Our highest winning rink was John Jenkins, Rosie Griffiths and John Gomersall with a 13 shot win but they were closely followed by Valerie Gomersall, Stephen Church and Tony Lawrence who won by 11 shots.
So we have a great chance of finally getting our hands on the trophy after many years of trying, so I think that it is only fair that we keep the same team for the home match which takes place on Saturday 23rd August, but support from non playing members would be much appreciated.
