24 club members played in the open triples competition on the 2nd August 2025. Thank you to all who took part today in an entertaining competition, with a lot of impressive bowling.
Victor Griffiths, John Jenkins, Kay Kingston and John Thorogood, Norman Line, Fiona Reese emerged as the two winning triples of the two leagues in the round robin section and played against each other in the final.
Having won all of their round robin matches John T , Norman and Fiona continued their winning run in the final. Congratulations to them!
Victor, John J. and Kay were very worthy runners up.

Match Rules and Competition draw
- Teams A, B, C and D played a round robin, playing each team once within their ‘league’, as Teams E, F, G & H played in their ‘league’.
- Scores: 3 pts for a win, 1 pt for a draw.
- Teams are shown in the table below.
Results of play
- In 'league' 1, two teams were equal on 6 points. However, Team D (Victor, John J and Kay) were declared as 'league'1 winners as they won the matach against team A (Cliff, Les and Pete)
- In 'league' 2 Team G (John T, Norman and Fiona) scored 9 points
- The ‘final’ was played over 4 ends to decide first and second place.
- The remaining teams who finished second, third and fourth in their ‘leagues’ played against each other to determine the other positions.
