After a long season of Short Mat, starting last September, we had our final match on Tuesday 8th April, finishing with an 8-2 win over Thame.
In fact we won our last two games 8-2, allowing us to finish seventh in a nine team league and just six points below the the two teams above us.
We won just six of our sixteen league games but regularly gave a good account of ourselves. We were also competitive in the John Robinson cup games, but without success.
Most of us now look forward to playing outdoors during the summer and returning to Short Mat in September 2026, hopefully with additional members taking up this very enjoyable version of the game.
