Tonight we played a John Robinson Cup home match against Stewkley. The format for the JR Matches is
- Singles 4 woods (2 games)
- Pairs 3 Woods (2 games)
- Triples (2 games)
Team selections are drawn out on the night in the order that the games are played, Each team member could play singles, pairs or triples This can be challenging to players as no one knows which format they will play.
It was a very competitive evening with our twelve member team winning three of the six games.
There was some exceptional play but we lost the match overall by 41-54 shots, but we all gave our all in a very competitive match, played in a friendly atmosphere. Stewkley are the form team in our group so there was no disgrace in this defeat. We had the usual tea and biscuits interval and held our raffle.
Next week we play at home against Bierton.
