Winslow Bowls Club

On Saturday 8th August we played the first leg of the 2 leg match against Bradwell Bowls Club for the Jim Lewis Trophy. We started with a Spider for the President’s charity The British Heart Foundation. 

We played 5 mixed triples and we managed to have a clean sweep by winning on all 5 rinks with an overall shot score of 98 to 59, meaning that we will take a 39 shot lead into the second leg on 22nd August.

Our highest winning rink came from Terry Pomroy, Tony Lawrence and skip Robin Galvin with a splendid win by 23 shots to 7.

We won the trophy in 2025 and that brought our total number of wins to 17 which is still 2 less than Bradwell, so a win this year will give us the opportunity to square the series in 2027.
