We played 5 mixed triples at Wingrave on Wednesday 9th September.
It was very nice to return to Wingrave after many years absence and we were able to admire the club’s new £310,000 clubhouse.
Unfortunately we lost by 54 shots to 79 although 4 of the 5 matches were quite close.
We did have one winning rink where Mick Bigby, Randell Moll (part-time) and Victor Griffiths came away with a one shot victory on the last hole. We borrowed a lady member from Wingrave for the first 6 ends of this match as Randell did not arrive until 2.30pm.
The Wingrave club captain and myself agreed to including a return fixture in next season’s schedule.
