We played 5 mixed triples at Waddesdon on Sunday 3rd May. Despite the dire weather forecast the afternoon turned out fine, quite warm and partly sunny. We played on a very good green within the beautiful settings of Waddesdon Manor grounds.
Unfortunately our bowls did not quite do the setting justice and we once again fell to a defeat by 64 shots to 91 overall and failed to win on even one rink.
On 3 of the rinks the results were close enough and we actually matched Waddesdon with wins on 9 ends on each of these rinks but still could not quite get over the line in shots scored.
The one bright spot was a very successful start by new boy James Nicholls.
