2025 Pairs winners
Twelve pairs played in the Nominated Pairs competition today. Thank you to Terry, Charles and David for stepping in as some players were unable to play and to Dorothy for attending as reserve. Also. my appreciation to the team who have worked with Victor on the green.
The teams played in a round robin competition first within two leagues of 6 teams, so each team played 5 games.
In League 1 Tony and John Gomersall finished top with 12pts having won 4 of their games..Victor and Les along with Kate and Cliff came joint second. In League 2 Mick and Roger H won the league with 13 pts, winning 4 & drawing 1 game. Norman and John Jeacock came 2nd.
After a close final, commiserations to Tony and John who lost to Mick and Roger H.
Well done and thank you to all who played and to those who came to watch. The feedback was that it was an enjoyable afternoon of bowls and the weather was kind to us as well!
