On Sunday 17th June we travelled to Wing to play 5 mixed triples but soon found out that Wing had only 4 triples available. Moreover we had the start time as 2pm but a least some of the Wing players thought the start time was 2.30. In the end we had to play 4 triples with John and Valerie Gomersall standing down and Pete Joyner playing 9 ends for one of the Wing triples.
Once we got under way we soon established significant leads on 3 of the 4 rinks. At the end we had won on 3 of the 4 rinks with 2 rinks winning by 16 shots and our winning rink winning by 19 shots.
So well done the John Thorogood, Victor Griffiths and John Gilbey.
The overall result was Winslow 77 Wing 35.
